 The Taming of the Shrill

California Republican Congressman Darrell Issa demanded that “he” be thrown out of the Republican Party for supporting candidates against Republican congressmen. Issa called “him” a “racist.” Issa is now a powerful ranking member of an important congressional committee and his target, the racist Republican traitor is out of office.

“He” is Tom Tancredo. He is a former Republican congressman and former Presidential candidate. He is endorsing knuckle dragging candidates for congress if they favor rounding up Mexican looking people, jailing them, deporting them and shutting down the Mexican Border to people and trade. He comes from former Mexican territory, the state of Colorado.

He symbolizes the shrill fringe of Republicans  that are hysterical about the FOUR percent of the U.S. population that illegally resides in the United States; yes, actually less than FOUR percent (12 million divided by 330 million).

Hysterical ninnies that they are, they blend their hysteria with blatant racism as Issa charged Tancredo with when they were colleagues. Examples: a state representative from Pennsylvania and another from Oklahoma.

The Pennsylvanian charged that “140,000” illegals are rampaging through the streets killing, robbing and raping people (he means white people). Never mind that Philadelphia’s  native born American criminal residents produce more crime in a month than all the illegals in Pennsylvania do in years (of course that’s mostly black on black crime so it doesn’t count). Never mind that when Hazleton, Pennsylvania passed ordinances aimed at illegals from Mexico, they actually meant “anyone Hispanic” because most of the new residents of that town were legal resident Hispanics. But, they looked “furrin” and illegal.

The Oklahoman charges that Mexican illegals are choking Oklahoma with crime. He made the same arguments in 2007 when Oklahoma was home to 46,000 illegals – according to the INS of that day.

Wow! 46,000 illegals… In fact, Oklahoma supporters of the strong anti-illegal alien law passed by Oklahoma in 2007 bragged that “20,000” illegals fled Oklahoma after the “tough” law took effect. Wow! 26,000 illegals left to terrorize the poor Okies.

Can you have it both ways, Mr. Oklahoma legislator?

Mimicking Oklahoma and now Arizona, similar efforts are gestating in several other states. Yes, the flood, or as Tancredo and his toadies call it, the invasion of brown skinned mud-people from Mexico is “overwhelming” what (racist?) Harvard professor Samuel Huntington called “America’s Anglo-Protestant core.”

Illegals, mostly from Mexico, actually total only 3.6 percent  of our population. But, no matter, the hysterical ninnies exaggerate everything concerning Mexicans.  They refuse to recognize that two awardees of the Medal of Honor, the highest military decoration in the U.S., were illegal aliens from Mexico when they were recognized for their battle heroism in WWII and Vietnam.

Tancredo-ites claim there are 20-million illegals. They refuse to recognize that any Mexicans can be legal in the US (including this native born American citizen writer). 

Tancredo-ites claim that prisons are full of illegals even as the Bureau of Prison Statistics (Department of Justice) reported 96,000 FOREIGN BORN in all U.S. federal and state prisons(BOJ 2006, 2007) less than 7 percent of all inmates. That tiny number is out of over 2.6 million inmates.

Tancredo-ites claim that 4000 Americans are killed annually by illegals from Mexico. San Diego County, the most populous on the border (3 million-plus people) had a total of 75 murders in 2009. How many were committed by illegals? Five, ten...? So, how is 4000 possible?

Tandredo-ite  California State Senator Mark Wyland, claimed that 50 percent of California inmates (90,000 out of 180,000 total) were illegal in a university debate with this writer when, in fact, less than 10 percent (17,000) were illegal aliens according to State and federal immigration authorities. He counts native-born Hispanics as illegals because to him, like to Tancredo, they all look alike.

Hysterical and hypocritical: California Republican Party Chairman Ron Nehring hired an illegal male worker from Canada for the San Diego Republican Party while its chairman. He followed up by hiring the illegal Canadian worker for the State Party while concurrently hiring an illegal alien male worker from Australia as the Party’s Chief Operating Officer. Federal investigators determined they were working illegally. Nehring wasn’t charged with any crimes.

Where was Tom Tancredo when needed?

The same could be asked during the Vietnam War. According to the Department of Defense, 20 percent of all killed and wounded in Vietnam from 8 Southwestern states (Colorado included) were Mexican Americans or Mexican citizens. That, more than double their proportion of the population. Tancredo, the Colorado patriot..?

Tancredo was sent a draft notice when his multiple college deferments expired. He claimed to be mentally ill; he was so found by the Draft Board after medical examinations.  He was officially declared “UNFIT TO SERVE” for mental incompetence by the United States government.
