Goldwater spawned the modern day self-righteous cadre of sickos

Back during the Barry Goldwater campaign people came to me saying they were for Mr. Goldwater, even though they were Democrats, because he was for "Law and Order". In further conversations, it was evident that they felt that "Blacks" were the cause of high crime statistics (because they were on welfare). That efforts to help "these people" were communistic in ideology. It was brought to my attention that the then Governor of California (Pat Brown) reelection bumper stickers were--RED in color.
These same people hated Mr. Nixon with a passion even though he was an avowed anti-communist.
They continued to dislike him after he became President of the US, because he has friendly with the Chinese and broke down those long closed trade walls with them (and the Chinese were/are Communists.)
Even though the United States economy has long gained from using laborers from countries to the south; even though states like California produce food to feed the nation by using these same laborers, and import some foods grown by those southern laborers; even though cities like San Diego California have constantly refused to accept any industry in its confines that was not a 'clean' industry such as the revered 'tourist' trade; even though the tourist trade is serviced by maids and maintenance personnel that are originally from the disliked southern countries – brown low cost laborers are disliked, maligned, disrespected, and discriminated.
Cities to south of the border are divided by crude rusty walls, suffering increases of population that tax their public services, schools, medical facilities as well as their police departments. Hundreds of thousands of people come to border cities, not to pay taxes, not to contribute to these cities economies but just to wait a chance to jump the border and come to fill the DEMAND for their low-wage services.
Is it not fair to say that Tijuana residents are subsidizing their "rich" neighbors to the north so that they will have cheap gardeners and maids? So that the tourist industry can produce wealth for cities with clean air? So that the only harsh input to the clean air is the smoke created by marihuana use? (Not by these 'illegal workers but by the Lilly white Americans.)
How many low salaried police officers have to be killed by gangs that make their money supplying drugs to "Americans"?
Why aren't these "Law and Order" advocates or "Patriots," as they like to call themselves, take their pick-up trucks with their shotguns and baseball bats go 'police' Hollywood Boulevard looking for the guys that sell and buy the drugs that destroy the minds and health of so many "Culturally advantaged" adults and youth?
Why, since we brag about or great Constitution, and a form of government that has survived for over two centuries don't we demand that our Congress pass workable laws and agreements with foreign countries (to our south) that will satisfy our needs for labor and for control of our borders? That would be too simple.
By the way, many of the people that backed Barry Goldwater wanted to put an end to the need for cheap labor: Put all people on welfare to work on the vegetable fields and service industries. They forgot or were not aware that the majority of welfare recipients were non-Hispanic WHITES and had no desire to take up such demeaning employment -it was "Unconstitutional."
